EVIL reigns again.

EVIL won the NEVER Openweight Championship at NJPW New Beginning in Nagoya, defeating Tama Tonga in the main event.

The finish saw Ren Narita hit Tama with a pushup bar, allowing EVIL to hit EVCIL for the three.

The original bout lasted two minutes and was thrown out due to a brawl between HOUSE OF TORTURE and Guerrillas of Destiny. The match was restarted as a Lumberjack Deathmatch.

This marks the third reign as NEVER Openweight Champion for EVIL. Tama won the title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, defeating Shingo Takagi. He made zero successful title defenses.

Tama will be leaving NJPW at the end of the month.
