An ex-partner of Omari Palmer has accused him of physical abuse.
On January 15, POST Wrestling and Brandon Thurston submitted a new article that dives deeper into the situation surrounding Omari Palmer and his release from WWE. The outlet and Thurston obtained a police report that was given to the Maitland Police Department on May 23, 2024, six days after the ex-partner stated that the abuse took place.
According to the ex-partner, Palmer got extremely angry with her after discovering text messages that she had sent to another male. The ex-partner alleges that Palmer began throwing things and slammed her to the floor on two seperate occasions.
The ex-partner submitted photos of bruises on her shoulders and legs in the police report, stating that they were caused by Palmer during the altercation. Palmer denied the allegations of the report, saying that he did get upset and throw things, but not at her. Palmer also claimed in the report that neither person got physical during the incident.
The reporting officer of the case, Willington Camargo, requested that one charge of Battery be filed against Palmer. As of publish time, Orange County State Attorney’s Office confirmed to POST that the case is still under review and that there is no decision regarding charges against Palmer at this time.
Furthermore, the ex-partner also detailed additional incidents of abuse that allegedly happened during a Caribbean cruise after the incident in May. The woman noted that Palmer threatened to break both of their phones before the cruise and that he insisted on them going on the cruise despite the earlier incident.
The ex-partner told POST Wrestling, “I told him I saw where this was going and I was going to leave because things were not going to go good on the cruise. It was repeated behavior so I saw it coming. He told me to sit my ass down and calm down, that we were leaving the following morning for the trip.”
The alleged abuse continued on the cruise according to the ex-partner, who stated that Palmer gave her a concussion and threw one of her phones into the sea. The ex-partner alleged that Palmer “bashed me against the walls in the cabin a few times because I was leaving the room. I had bruises all over my body.”
Palmer was contacted for the story and declined to comment. On January 14, news about Palmer being granted an Order Of Protection against the ex-partner in September 2024 surfaced. In the document, Palmer told his account of the story, saying that the ex-partner got violent with him during the cruise after accusing him of inappropriate interactions with another woman.
In the petition, Palmer also claimed that he filed his own claim with the Maitland Police Department, allegeding that the ex-partner was stalking him. POST Wrestling confirmed with the department that no record of that report exists.
In the interview with POST, the ex-partner denied Palmer's claims, saying that she believes Palmer was only granted the Order Of Protection because of his residence in Florida, a state that she does not have legal representation in. The ex-partner told POST, "Omari twisted the story to benefit him and told his lawyer a bunch of lies which clearly were not backed up by evidence."
Furthermore, Palmer's ex-partner stated that WWE conducted their own investigation regarding the situation and made the decision to terminate Palmer's contract in September 2024. The ex-partner thanked WWE for taking her allegations seriously, noting that the company contacted her during the investigation.
The ex-partner ended the interview with POST by saying that nobody knows what happened behind closed doors during her relationship with Palmer, which began back in 2018, “He begged me to forgive him every time. It’s like two people live in one body. He put me through so much mental anguish. No one knows what happens behind closed doors. He would have violent outbursts and increasingly erratic frustration periods and take them out on me.”
UPDATE: Shortly after this post went live, Omari Palmer responded on X and denied all claims once again, noting that he will be taking legal action against his ex-partner.
These are the claims I’m facing they are false and as said prior I will be taking legal action against said party. More information will come during our court hearings.
