LA Knight has not only been hot for the WWE crowds but also a hot topic within the Wrestling Podcast world.
On the July 17th edition of Fightful's Wrestling Perspective Podcast featuring Ace Steel, Lars Frederiksen, and Dennis Farrell. A listener asked what the hosts make of the backlash that is going on with LA Knight's gimmick.
There was backlash on the gimmick, including some from WWE Hall-of-Fame member Kevin Nash. When speaking on the July 3rd edition of the Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast. Nash said that Knight was an absolute ripoff of The Rock.
Ace Steel would give his thought on the matter. "Yeah, so what, big fucking deal, are they calling him out on it? Who's calling him out on it, someone that just has an opinion about it? I mean, the crowds [are] biting on what it is. He's successful; it might be a revamp of whatever, but is there really anything that [is] super original and pro [wrestling], like things get recycled all the time?
It's not like he fucking popped out of wrestling school yesterday and started doing this gimmick. He's been doing it [for] a long fucking time. That's all I gotta say." Said Steel.
