Bryan Danielson talks about his immediate priorities following his full-time wrestling career coming to an end.
Bryan Danielson is nearing the end of the road as a full-time professional wrestler. He has often discussed wanting to be there to continue to help All Elite Wrestling grow in any way that he can, even after his time as a full-time competitor comes to an end. However, before he can do that, he has to take care of his body after decades of wear and tear as a pro wrestler.
Speaking with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp ahead of AEW All In 2024, Danielson revealed that his first priority will be to take care of his neck, and after that, he will do his best to continue to help AEW.
"Tony (Khan) and I have talked. I’ll always pick up the phone when he calls If I’m by my phone. For example, he called me last night; it was 9:30 Pacific time, and I was already asleep. The first thing I’ll have to do when I’m done wrestling, the thing that is in my priority is to get my neck better, which probably involves some sort of neck surgery sooner rather than later. That will be my first order of business. Then, I’ll help AEW where I can. I love AEW. I want to help as much as I can and as much as they want my help, I’m willing to participate."
Tony Khan has previously openly expressed his desire for Danielson to remain part of AEW well beyond his time as a wrestler. Read his comments here.
Danielson's career as a wrestler could be over as soon as the end of the AEW All In. Danielson has put his career on the line against Swerve Strickland in a match for the AEW World Title.
