The American Nightmare isn't back quite yet, but WWE is planning for it.
Cody Rhodes has been sidelined for several months after tearing his pectoral muscle, which required surgery and left him out of action for the rest of the year. However, he's still getting some work done, specifically to promote WWE 2K.
Fightful learned that WWE filmed a commercial Thursday in Los Angeles that featured Cody Rhodes (or at the very least someone dressed up exactly like him) and the Miz locking up on a Los Angeles bridge. We're told that Maryse was supposed to be in attendance as well, though we aren't sure if it was for a specific commercial spot or just to be there. In addition, Triple H and Bad Bunny were both in town, as Triple H has posted a picture with him.
For those asking, WWE fully expects to have Cody Rhodes back in time for WrestleMania, which we were told by company sources was never really in doubt.
Johnny Gargano, Rey Mysterio, Dominik, Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Bianca Belair were also there.
