Exclusive: Angelina Love Explains Repeated TNA Wrestling Departures; Hand Picked Kiera Hogan As Opponent

Angelina Love may be in and out of Impact throughout most of her career, but you won't see any bridges burning behind her along the way.

First appearing in NWA:TNA in 2004 in an enhancement capacity, Angelina Love has appeared intermittently for over the next decade. While some of the breaks have been more amicable than others, Love walked us through why she left TNA so many times.

"My visa issue came up, that was my first absence," Love told Fightful.com. "The second time I left, it was just not working for me at the time, and there's a crazy story that goes along with that.  I know they were wanting to do the Beautiful People thing again, and reprise that there. We did that, I got pregnant, so I was still under contract and doing hair and makeup backstage. My contract ran out about the time that I gave birth. Then we came up with the cool storyline with (Davey Richards, Alisha Edwards & Eddie Edwards). We did that, and I kind of realized that was not going anywhere once we came to the culmination of it -- then I asked for my release."

One of those places Angelina is wrestling these days is Title Match Wrestling and their Ladies Night Out series. In a unique situation, Love hand-picked opponent Kiera Hogan for the event as her opponent.

"I actually had a choice in who I worked, and they wanted it to be someone I haven't worked before. So, it's going to be Kiera. They were wanting to do a first time ever match. I remember the first time I saw her, it was a show in Georgia. I wasn't wrestling, but she was really sweet, I could tell she had a lot of energy. She wanted me to watch the match and wanted my feedback," said Love.

Outside of wrestling, Angelina helps put forth charitable efforts, raising money for pediatric cancer patients. You can donate to that fund at this link.

You can see Angelina Love taking on Kiera Hogan in that match. at Ladies Night Out 5, which takes place February 23 from the World Gym Arena in Texas City, Texas. You can get tickets at their website, and can stream the entire event live and on demand at Title Match Wrestling Network. You can also see one of her early wrestling appearances on Fightful Select as a part of Jimmy Van's match archives!
