Exclusive: Jonathan Gresham Working Without ROH Contract

The wrestling world has another interesting free agent, as Fightful has learned that Jonathan Gresham is without a contract.

The Ring of Honor standout isn't technically committed to Ring of Honor. Gresham's deal expired in late April, leaving him as a free agent in a wrestling world with a lot of options. It was expected that he would be quickly re-signed or extended, but thus far a deal hasn't been reached.

The situation is made even more interesting considering the fact that Gresham works as a trainer at the Ring of Honor Dojo as, well. The 31-year old has been in Japan over the last several weeks working New Japan Pro Wrestling's Best of the Super Juniors tournament, which has proven very successful for him. His last Ring of Honor appearance to date was a tag team title match alongside Jay Lethal on May 8 at War of the Worlds, where the two came up short against the Guerrillas of Destiny.

Gresham has also appeared for PWG and Game Changer Wrestling throughout May ahead of his trip to Japan.
