Exclusive: WWE Fears The Revival Are Finishing Up With The Company; Duo Asked For Release

A couple of Top Guys could be top free agents, at least if concern from WWE is rooted in truth.

Fightful.com learned on Jan. 16 that several within WWE were fearful that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were finishing up with the company. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that The Revival did ask for their release following their bout against Lucha House Party on Raw.

Fightful was told WWE "has reason to be very fearful that The Revival are done or finishing up with the company" after a situation unfolded at WWE Raw.

A release is anything but guaranteed, and our sources were quick to point out that everything is handled on a case-by-case basis.

Every source that I spoke to within WWE saw All Elite Wrestling as a natural landing point for The Revival, which is purely speculation at this point. The duo was the subject of a long-running gag on the Being The Elite series, which was one of the catalysts of All Elite.

Dash Wilder hasn't tweeted since Monday, while Dawson has been a little more active in the time being. The two defeated Lucha House Party, and WWE sources indicated that they were "in line for a push," but would specify that changes on a weekly basis.

Fightful has reached out to WWE for comment on the matter.
