"The Top Guys" are back... for one night only.
During their time as a part of the NXT brand Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder ran rough shot over the NXT tag team division bringing their old-school wrestling style to the ever-growing brand. After transitioning from the gimmick name 'The Mechanics' the duo began to perform as 'The Revival' in 2014 and one year later became the NXT Tag Team Champions. Dawson & Wilder were a part of NXT for three years and held the tag team titles twice in their tenure and the duo were called up to the WWE main roster the night after WrestleMania 33 last year.
The following weeks after being called up both men suffered injuries that kept them on the shelf and derailed their momentum coming out of their call-up. Although Wilder & Dawson are still looking to find their footing on Monday night's, they do not appreciate when other teams in the company refer to themselves as "top guys". The current NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Era were speaking to the Oklahoma City crowd at an NXT Live event when Roderick Strong uttered the words "top guys" which summoned NXT's original "Top Guys", The Revival.
