Jack Cartwheel Discusses Dealing With Spondylosis As A Wrestler

Jack Cartwheel's acrobatics are on display every time he steps into the ring, whether he's performing a trademark cartwheel or a signature dive.

Cartwheel has a background in gymnastics, performing since he was three, which is where his love of cartwheels came from. Jack had to stop doing gymnastics due to a back issue, but went on to play football and now wrestle.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight, Jack discussed his back issue and whether it hinders him in the ring.

"It's been okay. Every now and then, it was called spondylosis. It was continuous backward bending and I think it had to do with the L4 and L5 being too close together and they were attracting the sciatic nerve. It's been okay so far. Every now and then, I'll feel a little something, but I think it's because I have a different flexibility in my hips. My hips are still flexible, but I think how flexible they were was almost too flexible with the types of things that I was doing. It's been okay so far. Every now and then, I'll have a little scare, but we're alright. It's the ankles for me," he said, noting that the ankles get plenty of use with all the cartwheels and Sasuke specials.

Jack has appeared on AEW programming and is a regular at GCW along with various independent promotions.
