While speaking to Sports Illustrated in a new interview, Kofi Kingston explained how the title win meant a lot to him and that fans do not understand how hard it is to get onto WrestleMania.

"It really meant a lot, Number one, being on WrestleMania is such a rarity... The fans don't really understand how difficult it is to get a match on WrestleMania, let alone win a championship on WrestleMania. It's difficult to do. It (the win) feels great because this time around, nobody wanted us to do it. There's a lot of people that were against us."

On the April 21st edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, the New Day were confronted by Alpha Academy over a possible title shot, but a returning superstar intervened. You can read more about that here.
