Jake Something Recently Found His Personal TNA Wrestling Video Archive From Childhood, Comments On The Rebrand

Jake Something reflects on his personal relationship with the TNA Wrestling brand as a fan of the industry.

Beginning with TNA Hard To Kill 2024 on January 13, IMPACT Wrestling once again became TNA Wrestling as a new vibrance and excitement surrounded the brand that once stood as the top alternative in North America to WWE in the mid -2000s.

The difference now, of course, is that the wrestlers who are competing under the TNA Wrestling banner have experience growing up watching the brand. This perhaps makes them more passionate about TNA Wrestling than even the generation that preceded them.

During a recent interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Jake Something opened up about his own fandom of TNA Wrestling noting that he recently found a box full of TNA Wrestling tapes from his childhood.

"Oh, absolutely. I have just recently found, ‘cause I used to record every single episode, and I just found a box full of TNA tapes. The way I would do it, it would be like if it’s a six-hour tape—I think those shows were an hour long or something like that—so every, I don’t remember what days they would even used to come on, but let’s say Thursday. Every Thursday, I would put my tape in and record it, and next Thursday I would do it again and again. So then, eventually, tape number one would have five or six hours full of TNA and then go on to tape number two and three and four. I found a box with like twenty of them. I’ve got an archive," he said.

Part of the relaunch of TNA Wrestling included the return of TNA Xplosion, a secondary show that complemented TNA iMPACT! Something has already appeared on one of these programs and noted that he really likes the presentation of the show, specifically the intro.

"You know, I love it, too. I just watched. It has a really sick intro that people need to know about. I work there and I was just like, ‘Ooh, let me watch this,’ because I knew that Xplosion was back. But it’s not like they sent out an e-mail, ‘Hey, we have a new intro for it.’ It’s just a thing that you find. So I was like, ‘Wait, what the heck?’"

Elsewhere in the interview, Something reflected on his decision to return to TNA Wrestling back at IMPACT Slammiversary 2023. Learn more here.
