Jay White Discusses Bullet Club's Expansion, Says They Appear To Have A New Member In Mia Yim

Jay White talks Adam Cole, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Mia Yim, and the expansion of Bullet Club.

Bullet Club has been one of the most important acts in all of professional wrestling for the last decade. Regardless of how the group has changed through the years, Bullet Club has always stood for disruption and progression in the wrestling industry.

Bianca Belair: Representation Means Everything To Me, I Love That I've Been Able To Make History In WWE

In 2022, there is Bullet Club representation in AEW, WWE, IMPACT, and, of course, New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Speaking about the expansion of the faction as each of its members moves forward, "Switchblade" Jay White tells Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that this all falls in line with his vision for the faction.

Addressing Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows' return to WWE, White says that while they may be disrupters, many wrestlers owe their current opportunities and the current landscape of the industry to The Good Brothers.

"I’ ll agree, they’re shit stirrers, but in the same breath, I feel like you’d be smart enough to at least appreciate the impact and the reach these guys have had on the entire business. Some people, they like to stay narrow-minded and look at some things and complain and they’re not grateful, they don’t realize that the things that they have and love in wrestling, they wouldn’t have without the likes of Anderson and Gallows," said White. "Of course, it was almost a year ago, maybe earlier this year, I was taking about the reach and the vision I had for Bullet Club and where I wanted to take it. That included getting back into WWE like that. Hey, do we have a new member with Mia Yim, it looks like we might."

Asked if he was consulted about the decision to pair "Michin" Mia Yim with AJ Styles and The Good Brothers on WWE TV, White was candid in saying that Gallows and Anderson don't have to run anything by him but if he's ever concerned enough, he will voice his opinion.

"Honestly, it doesn’t really matter what I consider, those guys are doing their thing, they don’t really need to run too much shit by me," he said. "They might, but at the same time, what I say to them, are they really going to listen to me in terms of something like that? Probably fucking not. Do they listen to many people? Probably fucking not. If it’s something very vital and I had to plead my case, maybe, but things like this, it’s working, you guys go do your thing. Too sweet, boys. Let’s just appreciate the reach of Bullet Club and the opportunities other people are getting now."

Of course, the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion isn't shy about taking some of the credit for being the catalyst for these moves.

"If you really boil it down and where it all comes back to [points to himself]. The catalyst of professional wrestling, Switchblade Jay White, it doesn’t happen without me setting these things in motion," he boasted. "All these places, AEW, IMPACT, Bullet Club’s presence, Switchblade’s presence is felt and that’s a great thing for the industry and a great thing for fans. I’m sure everybody, like myself, is excited to see where it goes."

Jay White admits at the current expansion of Bullet Club has worked out better than he expected it to. He does, however, acknowledge some bumps in the road like the ongoing issues Bullet Club is facing with its former members Hikuleo and The Guerrillas of Destiny

"It has worked out a little bit better than I expected. You can have these higher goals, but a lot of them would have been kind of extreme at the time and we know how companies can be together, a lot of those goals would be very unlikely, but we’re in unprecedented times and unprecedented things keep happening like this. You can keep making some of those goals and things you want to do a little bit more extreme and they might just work out as well. There has been some speed bumps in the road. Hikuleo, wrong decision there, but learning experiences. We’re not going to always be perfect, but close to it," said Switchblade.

White was later asked if he would ever be open to making up with Hikuleo, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, and while he was honest about never being able to fully shut the door on anything in wrestling, he makes his current feelings on Hikuleo very clear.

" It’s wrestling, you can never say never, but the way I stand on it right now, Hikuleo, he made his bed, so now he can sleep in it, he can wash his sheets, he can change his pillows, he can use Febreze and freshen it up, he can clean up the fucking piss stains, the shit stains, when he shits the bed before these matches, especially before this match with Karl Anderson. You could have still been with Bullet Club, under the guidance with the greatest in the world, but Hikuleo decided to go with ‘family.’ Now, Karl Anderson is going to teach him a lesson," said White.

Switchblade is not the only former leader of Bullet Club who was hoping to be the bridge between the club's past and present members. Adam Cole once shared a similar vision and Switchblade says that is why he is a fan of Cole, despite how tense things got between them when building toward the IWGP World Championship match AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

That’s why I love Adam Cole and why he’s my good friend, and I hope he’s doing good because we share visions like that," Jay said. "When I talk about being some road bumps, Forbidden Door, on the same page and then we weren’t, leading up to it, maybe I said some things I shouldn’t have, I know I came in and interrupted Story Time with Adam Cole Bay Bay, maybe I shouldn’t have done that. All in the past, that’s my good friend, and that’s why, because we have a similar vision. Everybody seems to give me shit and hate on me, but I’m just trying to bring everyone in for one big wrestling group hug, that’s all."

Jay White is currently preparing for an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship defense at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4, 2023.

Current reports have Sasha Banks showing up at Wrestle Kingdom 17. As Bullet Club is always growing, White stated that he believes Sasha Banks would make a fantastic member of the group and he would be more than willing to introduce himself to the former WWE Women's Champion. Read more here.
