Sean Henderson is a big fan of Too Cold Scorpio.
Ovee the past couple of years, Too Cold Scorpio has cemented his place as a legend in the wrestling industry, as he's had a bit of a career resurgence on the independent scene.
Since 2021, Scorpio has competed against the likes of 'Speedball' Mike Bailey, Bryan Keith, Jonathan Gresham, and Joey Janela across various promotions.
While speaking to Fightful Overbooked's Indied for a new interview, promoter Sean Henderson said that he believes that Scorpio is one of the ten best wrestlers of all time.
“Since I was a little kid, I just loved, loved wrestling and I loved, loved Too Cold Scorpio. Everything about him. I’m not saying this because it might sound biased, I’m genuinely saying it because I believe it. I feel like Too Cold Scorpio is definitely top ten greatest wrestlers of all time. Everything about him, he was — Still to this day, I don’t know why I’m saying was, he’s still to this day one of the best in the world at what he does."
Henderson then chatted about bringing in Scorpio as a big name for his first two shows.
“When I first did the first two official SHP shows, I wanted to have a name to kind of solidify that this was a legitimate wrestling product. I was going through people and I was thinking of Tito Santana and local people that were in New Jersey. I’m was like, man, I’m not supposed to any of these guys but who is somebody that can still go? One of the H2O wrestlers said, ‘Well, I have Too Cold Scorpio’s phone number.’ As soon as I heard that, I was like I have to — not because it’s like a name, but to me in my heart, it’s the name, the man, the legend Too Cold Scorpio. He gave me his phone number and I texted it like, oh hi, I’m Sean. I’m a wrestling promoter out in New Jersey, I’d love to do business with you. I was actually at work and I got a phone call from a Denver area code. I picked up the phone, I said hello, and he’s like, ‘This is Too Cold Scorpio, are you Sean Henderson?’ He was asking for details on the show and he’s like, ‘Alright, I’ll see you in February.’ Ever since then, he’s been the absolute best. One thing I love about Scorpio, and I’ve seen him do this every show. He’ll watch the shows and as soon as a young wrestler is done, he’ll ask them to come over and he’ll break down everything about their match. What he liked, maybe work on this. That’s someone who forever gives back to wrestling. I can’t say enough good things about Too Cold Scorpio, he’s just the best in wrestling and out of it. I love Scorpio so much.”
