A great match got heavy praise within WWE.
Drew McIntyre and Sheamus went at it and took up the majority of hour one on the March 1 episode of WWE Raw in a battle that saw McIntyre emerge victorious. As Fightful Select reported, they gained the praise of many in the company.
Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus caught the attention of wrestling fans on Monday Night Raw, as their 24-minute match tore the virtual house down. Higher ups in WWE that we spoke to said that they were pleased with the match, and noted specifically Sheamus' in-ring hot streak of late. We're told that a large portion of the match was called in the ring as well. Vince McMahon in particular was said to have been fired up and happy with the match.
Sheamus and Drew McIntyre have been feuding in recent months after Sheamus turned on the now-former WWE Champion.
