Xena reflects on main eventing a show in Korakuen Hall.
Xena was able to challenge Mei Seira for the High Speed Championship in the main event of STARDOM show on September 8. This match took place in the most legendary venue in Japan, Korakuen Hall.
Although she wasn’t able to defeat Seira, Xena is still proud of the achievement.
"Like for a guy doing to main event Korakuen is like a big thing. ‘Cause I don't think it's handed so easily to gaijins to main event that place.”Xena said while speaking to Fightful for a new interview. “So when I got like the option main event, I was like, ‘Would who have thought?’ If you told me I'd be main eventing in Korakuen and I'd be laughing at you."
Xena went on to talk about how she prepared for the match given that it was a late show for STARDOM.
"That was like two monsters, two like [coffees], and being the main event at such a late show, it was just like waiting for the match to actually happen. So I’ve warmed up, I've done all the things I need to do and I'm just like sitting and waiting like, ‘Okay, I'm nervous, but like I want to go. Let's go. Let's get this shit.’"
