- There will be a G1 Climax Recap podcast on Fightful Select hosted by Warren Hayes. The podcast goes on air after the G1 Climax ends on Sunday. 

- On the last day of the G1 Climax, Kenny Omega will be facing his Golden Lover tag team partner Kota Ibushi in a singles match with high implications on the tournament results. It will be their first singles match against each other in NJPW and third in their careers. 

- Tomohiro Ishii, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Tetsuya Naito were featured on the latest edition of Weekly Pro Wrestling. 

- There was a big upset on Day 16 when Toru Yano defeated Kenny Omega. There was a pre-match beat down by the Bullet Club OGs and there was further interference during the match. Omega spoke with reporters after the match. 

- Kenny Omega was not happy with Tama Tonga following the interference in his match against Toru Yano. 

- After their match on Day 16, Kota Ibushi was disappointed in his loss and Tama Tonga was adamant he's not going to allow his family legacy be tarnished by critics. 

- Ahead of Day 17, Tama Tonga tweeted the following in response to Kenny Omega saying Tonga ruined his match against Toru Yano. 

- After defeating Juice Robinson who is wrestling with a cast, Tomohiro Ishii said he'd be willing to face him again after he heals. 

- During his match on Day 16, Kota Ibushi hit a moonsault off of a balcony which can be seen in the following tweeted video. 

- New Japan Pro Wrestling released the following re-cap for Day 16 where B-Block was competing.
