Kurt Angle believes Gunther will be the next breakthrough star.
Since becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam 2024, Gunther has been on a run where he has knocked off some of the top stars that the WWE has to offer, defeating Randy Orton, Damian Priest and Jey Uso to name just a few.
While speaking to Casino.org in a new interview ahead of WrestleMania 41, Kurt Angle was asked who he thinks will be the next top star to break through in WWE, with Angle naming Gunther.
“I’ve got my sights on Gunther; I love that kid. He has a lot of talent, and I think he’s going to be the next breakthrough star, where he’s main event 24/7. He’s a solid technician, a great heel and I think he’s going to be the one we’re going to see a lot more of in the years to come in this business.”
