Here's your Fight Size wrestling Update for the morning of April 14th, 2018.
- "The Bulgarian Brute" Rusev has been in headlines as of late due to his removal of all WWE affiliated wording/relation from his social media accounts. Rusev was scheduled to face The Undertaker at the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' PPV on April 27th in Saudi Arabia but was later replaced by Chris Jericho. Rusev's removal from the match led fans to believe he was on his way out of the company after voicing his displeasure in the past along with a few words regarding "The Deadman's" age while being interviewed by TMZ Sports. Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina shared that he reached out to the company and they put the rumors to rest regarding Rusev possibly departing.
- For the first time in four years Kevin Steen has returned to the independent wrestling circuit so-to-speak. Having yet to find a home in the WWE after losing their match at WrestleMania 34, both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have new t-shirts releasing seeing as how they are "no longer a part of WWE".
- A film will be shown on May 20th about the trails and tribulations of Justin Credible. The documentary is entitled "CREDIBLE" and will air at the 'Capitol Wrestling' event on May 20th in New Britain, CT.
- The WWE has been nominated for a 'Webby award' in the events category for last year's WrestleMania 33 event.
- While giving props to the women superstars of WWE for their performances at WrestleMania 34 Triple H gave a special shout-out to the former two-time SmackDown Live Women's Champion and the first-ever winner of the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal, Naomi.
- There are tickets currently on-sale for the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' PPV on April 27th with there being $2 USD for single tickets and $80 USD for VIP packages.
- Former three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Big Van Vader has not had the easiest start to his 2018 as he has undergone heart surgery but he shared via Twitter yesterday afternoon that he is in the process of rehabbing and that he has hopes of getting back into the ring.
- As the 'Superstar Shake-Up' nears closer the superstars from RAW and SmackDown Live are already plotting their next move. Former RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss teased a move back to the land that she once dominated which is SmackDown Live.
