Flip Gordon's ROH return has been confirmed.
On Mar. 19, Flip Gordon announced that he had been cleared for an in-ring return following an MCL tear in January. He's scheduled to be back in the ring this Sunday against David Starr for Over The Top Wrestling. But his ROH return was in question. Until now. ROH officials confirmed that Flip will be back in the ring on Mar. 31 as part of the Road to G1 Supercard in Baltimore. An opponent has not been named.
Here’s some great news for Flip Gordon’s army of fans: Ring of Honor’s Breakout Star for 2018 has been medically cleared to compete!
Gordon, who suffered a full MCL tear in his right knee during a match in January, will make his ROH in-ring return at Road to G1 Supercard: Baltimore on March 31. His opponent has yet to be named.
Gordon was on quite a roll before he was injured. During the latter months of 2018, he defeated the likes of Bully Ray (in a brutal I Quit Match at Final Battle), former ROH World Champions Jay Briscoe and Dalton Castle, Marty Scurll, Silas Young, Jonathan Gresham and Frankie Kazarian.
Who will Gordon face in Baltimore?
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Gordon discussed his injury and how he may have to adapt his style and limit his flips initially. You can view his comments here.
