Fuego Del Sol On AEW's Loaded Roster: I'd Rather Have Too Much Talent Than Not Enough

Fuego Del Sol says AEW having a loaded roster is a good problem to have.

Since AEW launched in 2019, company president Tony Khan has signed a number of buzzworthy free agents. These additions have loaded up the company's roster, but some fans have argued that it's too bloated now. Competitors struggle to get consistent TV time, as AEW only has three hours of TV content between Dynamite and Rampage every week.

Speaking with AJ Awesome on The AJ Awesome Show, Fuego Del Sol was asked to describe what changes he wants to see in the wrestling world. He responded by noting that he'd like to see an ROH TV show because it would give wrestlers more opportunities to perform.

“I have personal goals, but I would love to see a Ring of Honor television show come about. If we can get a Ring of Honor television show, I feel like that would open up the door for a lot more guys to have a lot more opportunities," Fuego Del Sol said.

Fuego went on to describe how AEW has a loaded roster that's full of talent, and plenty of performers are hungry for TV time. He stated that, together, AEW and ROH can shape wrestling and produce a lot of stories in the year ahead.

"The AEW roster is stacked right now. We have so many great guys, and guys are champing at the bit for any bit of TV time and match time they can get. For us to develop and go forward, I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for AEW and Ring of Honor together because I think it’s gonna help shape wrestling in a different way and we’re gonna get to see a lot more stories," he said.

Given AEW's loaded roster, fans often discuss the way plenty of wrestlers don't get enough TV time. Fuego commented on this dynamic by saying that it's a good problem to have, as he'd rather have too much talent on a roster than not enough.

"Like I said, I think it’s a credit to the roster that we have developed. Incredible guys, veteran guys that have been doing this for nearly 30 years. All these guys champing at the bit, the talent is so good, and I feel like that’s a good problem to have. I’d have too much good talent than not enough. But I’m excited to see what my future holds, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the company going forward," Fuego Del Sol said.

Tony Khan recently commented on the potential return of ROH's weekly show and said it deserves better than YouTube. Check out his comments here.
