Fuego Del Sol Returns To AEW TV, Loses To Roderick Strong On 8/23 AEW Rampage

Fuego Del Sol competes in his first match on AEW television in over a year.

Fuego del Sol returned to AEW television on the August 23rd episode of AEW Rampage. There, he faced Roderick Strong in a singles bout.

Fuego delivered a valiant effort, but "The Messiah of the Back-breaker" lived up to his name by hitting Fuego with a number of back-breakers. Strong then put Fuego away with the End of Heartache.

Fuego often competed on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation throughout the pandemic era. He signed with AEW in 2021, and he later announced that he left AEW in June 2023.

Fuego has been competing at recent Ring of Honor on HonorClub tapings. However, the Rampage match marked his first bout in an AEW ring since February 2023. In recent months, he has been active on the independent scene.
