Gauntlet Match Set For Tonight's SmackDown Live; Winner Will Challenge AJ Styles For The WWE Championship At 'Extreme Rules'

AJ Styles will soon know who his next opponent is.

At the 'Money In The Bank' PPV AJ Styles put an end to his two month rivalry with Shinsuke Nakamura as the two men clashed in a 'Last Man Standing' match that went 31 minutes. Styles gave Nakamura a piece of his own medicine by "low-blowing" Shinsuke and putting the final touches on their war by delivering his signature "Phenomenal Forearm" through the announce table to put Nakamura down for the ten count.

AJ Styles left the 'Allstate Arena' with the WWE Championship on his shoulder and yesterday AJ was unveiled as the WWE 2K19 cover superstar. The news continued to roll in for the "Phenomenal One" as it was announced while RAW was on a commercial break that on tonight's episode of SmackDown Live there will be a gauntlet match contested featuring Big E, Rusev, The Miz, Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe. The winner of the gauntlet will go on to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at the next PPV which is 'Extreme Rules' on July 15th.
