Giovanni Vinci has commented on his WWE release.
Fightful first reported that WWE released Giovanni Vinci on February 8, 2025.
In his first comment since his release, he posted on social media to thank the WWE fans and everyone he worked with while in the company.
Signed in 2017, Vinci, under the name Fabian Aichner, participated in the Cruiserweight Classic. He and Ludwig Kaiser would have two runs as NXT Tag Team Champions in WWE NXT 2.0. When Kaiser and Gunther were called up to WWE's main roster in 2021, Vinci debuted a new gimmick in NXT before shortly thereafter being called up to join Imperium at WWE Clash at the Castle.
After being dropped from Imperium in 2024, he re-debuted his solo character on SmackDown. He would appear a handful of times, losing twice to Apollo Crews, including in his last WWE televised match on the September 20, 2024 episode of WWE SmackDown.
