Bill Goldberg has officially entered the WWE Royal Rumble.
When addressing the WWE fans on Monday Night Raw, former WCW Champion Goldberg wondered aloud if he had another championship run in him. However, he stated that Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon informed him that the road to the championship goes through the Royal Rumble.
Goldberg officially entered the 2017 Royal Rumble match, becoming the first entrant. This will be Goldberg's second Royal Rumble match, as his 2004 appearance was used as a vehicle to kick off his first feud with Brock Lesnar. Goldberg was the 30th entrant, and lasted only two minutes before being tossed out by Kurt Angle after interference from Lesnar. Goldberg was able to eliminate Nunzio, Charlie Haas, and Billy Gunn.
