Gunther speaks on it being a privilege to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Gunther has been World Heavyweight Champion for almost 250 days, capturing the championship at SummerSlam 2024, defeating Damian Priest. Since winning the title, Gunther has successfully defeated the likes of Finn Balor, Priest, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn with the title on the line.
While speaking during MSG at the Prudential Center for the New Jersey Devils vs The Bruins, Gunther was asked about his favorite moment as World Champion so far.
"Oh there has been many. I was fortunate enough to be in the ring with some of the greats and with some of the greats of today. What makes WWE special is wherever place we go around the world, we engage with our audience and being able to step in front of our audience that is fully invested, that's what I worked for my whole life. That's always what I wanted to do, and doing that being the World Heavyweight Champion is a privilege and... still in the process."
Gunther is currently scheduled to defend his championship against Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41 later this month.
In Gunther's latest segment with Jey Uso on Monday's RAW, Jey told Gunther that he was no longer afraid of him. You can read more about that here.
