Gunther expressed his confidence after his successful title defense.
Gunther has held the WWE Intercontinental Championship for nearly 600 days, as he won the gold on the June 10, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown. Since then, he has defended the championship against numerous competitors, and he added another name to the list on the January 29 episode of WWE Raw. There, he defeated Kofi Kingston to retain the championship.
The next day, Gunther took to Twitter/X and shared a clip in which he commented on his win.
"Listen to this. Kofi fought hard, Kofi fought with courage. Only issue is, nobody’s perfect, but I’m damn close. I will forever be the greatest and longest-reigning Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion of all time," Gunther said.
