Matt and Jeff Hardy have relinquished the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
During tonight's edition of SmackDown Live from Columbus, Ohio, the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy made their way to the ring to address the rumors surrounding Jeff Hardy's injury and Matt announced that they'll be relinquishing the titles due to Jeff needing surgery. Jeff blamed his injury on Lars Sullivan's attack that occurred on the SmackDown after WrestleMania when The Hardy Boyz defeated The Usos to win the tag titles.

Lars Sullivan made his presence felt when he took out Matt Hardy who stood in defense of Jeff. Former WWE United States Champion R-Truth who has battled with Sullivan over the past few weeks attempted to put a chair to the back of Lars but it was not resourceful and shortly after the chair shot, Lars was standing over R-Truth after giving Truth a "Freak Accident" and a running powerbomb.
