Hikaru Shida advances.
Hikaru Shida defeated Deonna Purrazzo on the June 29 AEW Collision to advance to the semi-finals of the women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament. She got the victory with her spinning kick to the head after a series of pinfall counters.
Shida tried to celebrate but it was not for long as Purrazzo jumped Shida after the match ended. Purrazzo went to strike Shida with her own Kendo stick but Thunder Rosa made the save as the rivalry between Rosa and Purrazzo appears to be continuing.
Shida will go on to face the winner of the match between Mariah May and Saraya at AEW Forbidden Door.
