MJF and Hangman Page both picked up victories on AEW Dynamite with Hangman defeating Max Caster and MJF forcing Dustin Rhodes to pass out.
They also had multiple run-ins during the night, including a brawl that went through the crowd.
Before MJF's match with Rhodes, Hangman interrupted his promo. MJF said Hangman smelled like Jack Daniels before calling Hangman a joke who lost his friends and sanity because he wanted an apology. MJF said he was going to become a two-time AEW World Champion, which Hangman has failed to do.

After MJF defeated Rhodes, he and Hangman brawled through the crowd before being separated by security. The crowd chanted, "Let them fight," and MJF called Hangman a coward after he was taken away.
Hangman returned to the ring, and the fight was on once again.
