In his post-match comments, Goto commented on his win and sent a message to Takeshita.

"This is New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Konosuke Takeshita, keep that in mind. But I got a good sense of your spirit. I don’t know where you're going from here or what you plan to do, but if you want to continue to compete here in New Japan, how about joining us in CHAOS? I’d welcome you," Goto said.

CHAOS members Rocky Romero and Tomohiro Ishii frequently compete for AEW, as Ishii has been spending the summer with the company. Former members Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, Jay White, Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Orange Cassidy, among others, are in AEW as well.

Takeshita previously said that he wanted to keep showing NJPW what he could do. Check out his comments here.
