The Ace is set to return to the ring.
At today's NJPW Wrestling Dontaku event, Hiroshi Tanahashi came out to address the crowd, announcing that he would be returning to the ring on June 5 at the Best of Super Juniors Final. Tanahashi has been sidelined since ROH-NJPW G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden with an elbow injury. He underwent surgery in April and was discharged from the hospital on Apr. 21.

The Ace returning to the ring is big news for NJPW, but not everyone was excited to see him. Jay White interrupted Tanahashi's announcement, proclaiming himself to be next in line for a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Title. White went on to attack Tanahashi, targeting the surgically repaired elbow.
White defeated Tanahashi to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title at The New Beginning in Osaka in February.
Both men will have to get behind Chris Jericho, who made his return to NJPW at Wrestling Dontaku, announcing that he will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at Dominion on June 9.
