Hulk Hogan And Real American Beer Sued For Alleged Negligence

A woman in Akron is suing Hulk Hogan and Real American Beer for alleged negligence after she was struck by a beer can at a promotional event for Real American Beer at Thirsty Cowboys on August 19, 2024.

“It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted with it with a can of beer,” Attorney Eric Tayfel, who is representing Michelle Harlukowicz, told Fox 8.

The lawsuit, which states Hogan and other unnamed promoters were riling up the crowd to promote the beer, tossing free cans to people in the crowd, was filed on February 10, 2025. The lawsuit alleges Hogan or one of the other promoters threw the unopened can, which caused a wound that required 10 stitches to close.

“She had an open wound to her forehead,” Tayfel said. “It was pretty big. She ended up needing a number of stitches to her head, and she’s going to have some permanent scarring from that.”

Medina Township Police responded to the incident but did not file charges because officers could not determine who threw the beer.

Harlukowicz is seeking damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering and emotional distress.

Real American Beer is a sponsor of WWE.
