Kevin Lacerda of It Lives, It Breathes wants to elevate Will Ospreay's entrance.
Since he joined AEW, Will Ospreay has turned "Elevated" by It Lives, It Breathes into one of the most popular and interactive theme songs in wrestling, as fans chant along and often sing to it. Now, It Lives, It Breathes frontman Kevin Lacerda wants to take it to the next level.
Speaking on Ropes N Riffs, It Lives, It Breathes vocalist Kevin Lacerda said that he wanted to play Will Ospreay to the ring.
“I don't have any predispositions to imagine that that would something that would ever be actually happened, but I'm allowed to….that I would have written something creatively that ended up being played in Madison Square Garden and big arenas in Toronto, in the Tokyo Dome, in Wembley Stadium while frickin' fireworks are shooting out the top. I'm gonna stop it there, cause I'm not gonna get weepy-eyed on a podcast. But it's wild, man. My dreams are gonna escalate beyond that point, but if I don't get any of those things to ever manifest, it's still amazing in and of itself that that ever happened to begin with. But like I would love and want to manifest, on a podcast or whatever in my own mind to want to play my net, the only final level for me. When it comes to that stuff is to play Will Ospreay to the ring live. I think he knows that like I've made tweets like that just kind of for random fans, they get stoked whenever it gets posted and I want to engage with those fans. I think he knows that maybe it's something that's on his mind. We’ve seen Jericho perform his band to the ring, and not think that there's not a possibility that something like that wouldn't be cool for him too," Lacerda said.
Lacerda went on to note that Ospreay moves his arms in his entrance the same way that he would when if he was performing. He stated that Ospreay was "taking care of business" by doing it the same way, and he said it was awesome to see.
“Even when I see Will do what he does when the crowd does the Ospreay chant back to him, I'm like, he moves his arms the way I would have moved my arms…very Freddie Mercury open arms, that kind of thing. I'm just out there when I perform live. When Will does everything with that, I'm like, that's exactly how I would have done it. So if I never get a chance to do this with him, at least I know he's taking care of business. He's engaging that crowd with his hands like a maestro, the exact way that I would have done it if I was there doing it every single night live performing for him. So it's awesome," Lacerda said.
Chris Jericho has previously played himself to the ring, and AEW has had other live entrances over the years as well.
