El Desperado will defend his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title against Taiji Ishimori at NJPW Battle in the Valley on January 11.
The bout was confirmed at NJPW New Year Dash!
Ishimori won the Lucha Gauntlet at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty, pinning El Desperado in the match. El Desperado won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19, defeating DOUKI, who could not continue due to injury.
