Jack Perry Says He Has Changed The Entire World Since The Last Time He Faced SANADA

A lot has changed since the last time that Jack Perry faced SANADA.

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023, SANADA defeated Jack Perry to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. At the time, SANADA said that he was expecting a bigger challenger, and he was not familiar with Perry. A few months later, Perry was suspended by AEW for his involvement in a backstage incident with CM Punk at AEW All In, which led to Punk's termination and his subsequent return to WWE. Perry has since popped up in NJPW and joined House of Torture. Meanwhile, SANADA lost his title to Tetsuya Naito at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.

On the eighth night of NJPW New Japan Cup, Jado, YOH, Hikuleo, Tanga Loa and Shota Umino defeated HOUSE OF TORTURE (Dick Togo, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi, Jack Perry, and EVIL). In the New Japan Cup, Perry is still in the hunt, as he is set to face SANADA in the quarterfinals.

In his post-match comments, Perry looked forward to his rematch with SANADA.

"SANADA, tomorrow is the day. It’s crazy. The last one wasn’t even a year ago, but it feels like another lifetime to me. I still remember very well. I remember what you said. I remember the embarrassment and the shame of losing to you. But that’s not gonna happen again. I didn’t come all the way here to lose to you again. Last time, you said, you claimed that you didn’t know me. Since the last time that we met, I changed the entire world. The only thing you’ve done is lose your title," Perry said.
