Jeff Jarrett names the people who took his finishing move, The Stroke, the best.
Sometimes, a finishing maneuver in wrestling is only as effective as the person taking the move makes it look. Over the years, Jeff Jarrett has taken out several individuals with The Strokw, his take on an inverted Russian Leg Sweep.
Jeff Jarett, during a recent live recording of his My World podcast, named Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, and Jay Lethal as three of the best competitors to take the move.
"Inside baseball story. My partner now, Jay Lethal, back in the TNA days, we had a TV match. As we're kind of going through the process and everything, I think if I tell this story straight, Lethal pitched to me, 'What about a Super Stroke?' Jay Lethal can take an incredible Stroke. Only taken a few, but he's very good. In the TNA days, there was nobody better than AJ Styles taking The Stroke. AJ does a lot of things great, taking The Stroke is one of them," said Jarrett. "Off the top of my head, I'd have to put Lethal up there. I'd have to AJ Styles up there. Kurt, he does a lot of things good, too. He took The Stroke very well. Yeah. Those off the top of my head."
Jarrett also noted that John Tenta, known as Earthquake in WWE, probably took the move the worst when he was Golga.
Elsewhere on the recording, Jarrett commented on the possibility of Bobby Lashley coming to AEW. Read his thoughts here.
