Jim Ross calls Toni Storm the MVP of AEW right now.
Jim Ross has worked with and called the matches of many of the top names in professional wrestling in their prime. From Ric Flair to John Cena and everyone in between, JR knows what it means to be the MVP of a professional wrestling company.
Currently, Jim Ross works for AEW. On the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast, he was running down the card of the upcoming AEW Revolution 2025 pay-per-view. When talking about the Hollywood Ending match for the AEW Women's World Championship between "Timeless" Toni Storm and the former Champion Mariah May, Jim proclaimed that if he had to give out an MVP award to someone in AEW for their recent performances, he would overwhelmingly choose Storm.
Not to be outdone by her former mentor, Mariah May also received high praise from the legendary "Voice of Wrestling."
"I think that if you had an MVP award to give to somebody in AEW right now for performances in recent weeks, it would overwhelmingly be given to Toni Storm. She's been the best performer, I think, in the company, and the young lady that she's working with is right there with her, Mariah May," he said. "Golly, Conrad, Mariah May has come out of nowhere, and she's just here, and all of a sudden, she's a star. That's hard to do. So, anyhow, I'm high on Mariah May and Toni Storm's story. Boy, they've got a good one going, and they work well together. They hold nothing back."
Toni Storm continues to be praised by wrestling legends. Recently, Kevin Nash praised her. Read his comments here.
