Jim Ross: Jack Perry Got Caught Up In A Bunch Of B*llshit And Sludge Last Year, He’s Worked His Way Out Of It

Jim Ross believes in Jack Perry.

At AEW All Out, Jack Perry will challenge Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship. Notably, this will be Danielson's first time defending the title that he won at AEW All In. Furthermore, it will be Perry's first time challenging for the title in a singles capacity since June 2021.

On the latest edition of Grilling JR (via AdFreeShows), Jim Ross talked about the match and stated that Jack Perry has worked his way out of the bullshit and sludge that he was caught up in last year.

“I expect to see excellence in this match. Bryan Danielson is beyond compared, he’s the best worker in the world and an amazing pro wrestling star. He’ll do all he can to make Jack Perry look like the next coming. It’s up to Jack to stay face-to-face, just listen. I think it will be a really exciting main event. It’s a new match. Now I’m sure they’ve wrestled each other somewhere down the road without question, but I believe that they will have a great match. They match up well, they’re both fast, they’re both fundamentally sound. Jack Perry is very motivated and he’s one of my favorites, Conrad. He just got caught up in a bunch of bullshit and sludge last year. He’s worked his way out of it, which I’ve admired him for. He’s a hell of a hand, he’s become a real student of the game. Being in the ring with Bryan, there’s no better opportunity to show what you know to stay pace for pace with the champ. You never know what’s going to happen, the mind of Tony Khan is impossible to guess, off balance I’d say. I think it will be a real good main event, I really do. It’s fresh, it’s clean, it’s new and you’ve got the young guy trying to make a name for himself in a big way. I think they’ll carry the load and close the show as we expect them to in a fantastic way.”
