Jan Ross was involved in an accident on Monday night, where she was riding a Vespa and was rear-ended. Jan was not wearing her helmet when she crashed, and sustained multiple skull fractures.

JR posted an update on Tuesday regarding the condition of his wife, noting that she was being kept alive "via live support equipment."

JR and his wife met while he worked for WCW; she was a stewardess at the time. They were married in 1993. Later, after JR went to WWE and became their head of talent relations, Jan Ross was described as the ultimate "coach's wife", as the Ross family opened their home to wrestling stars and their families.

Condolences quickly began pouring in via social media after JR announced the sad news.

Fightful.com and our entire staff would like to give Mr. Ross and his family our deepest condolences and sympathies.
