Jimmy Smith sends out a message regarding his departure from WWE.
After it was revealed earlier today that WWE Raw, SmackDown and NXT will be shuffling around commentary teams going forward, fans quickly noticed that Raw commentator Jimmy Smith wasn't included in the new lineups. Fightful Select quickly reported after that Smith is finishing up with the promotion.
In a new tweet, Smith put out a statement regarding his departure from WWE and thanked the fans for being accepting.
Just wanted to say, now that the story is officially out, that my time with the WWE is officially done. Had a lot of fun and met some great people. Really and truly blown away by the acceptance from the WWE fans! You folks make it work every week and your enthusiasm was amazing!
