Jody Threat knew about her IMPACT Wrestling debut months in advance.
A vignette for Threat aired at IMPACT Sacrifice on March 24, 2023. She debuted on the April 6 episode of IMPACT, where she defeated Taylor Rising. On April 10, Threat confirmed that she signed with IMPACT Wrestling. Since then, Threat has been a featured member of the Knockouts Division.
Speaking on the Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz, Threat was asked to comment on how long she had to keep her move to IMPACT a secret.
“Probably like four months. It was very challenging. Four months we just sat on it, like an egg, just waiting for it to hatch," Threat said.
Threat also noted that she did not know who her opponent in her first match would be throughout this four-month period.
