Joey Ryan Announces That He's Staying On The Independent Wrestling Scene

Joey Ryan is not going anywhere.

Joey Ryan announced to the wrestling world earlier this week that he was going to make a decision regarding his future in the sport of professional wrestling. Ryan made that decision last night at his Bar Wrestling promotion's 'Pickle Jar Hero' show that he was not going to be signing exclusively with a company and will remain on the independent wrestling scene. Ryan gave a speech to the crowd in attendance and closed his speech by saying that he may be a big fish in a small pond that is independent wrestling, but one thing he knows is that the pond is all his.

SoCal Uncensored reported on Monday that Ryan turned down a contract offer from All Elite Wrestling. In late April, Ryan began to sell his farewell to the indies shirts and just one month later, Ryan made the decision to stay on the independent scene and referred to the fans of the indies as the blonde girl that he has been searching for on Being The Elite.

Bar Wrestling's next show is scheduled for June 12th entitled 'Sashay Away' and will feature the likes of Sonny Kiss, Taya Valkyrie, Scorpio Sky and more names. Head over to Fightful's "results" page to read the full results from Bar Wrestling's 'Pickle Jar Hero' show.
