John Cena is a fan of The Man.
Becky Lynch's rise this year has been well documented. She went from the plucky underdog who just wanted her chance to shine to being the focal point of SmackDown Live. Lynch transformed herself into The Man, a no-nonsense ass kicker who took names and chewed bubble gum. And she's all out of bubble gum. As The Man, Lynch won the SmackDown Women's Title and made foes cower on social media with her quick remarks. She's arguably the biggest star in the company and could end up being the first female to headline WrestleMania.
And John Cena couldn't be happier for her.
Speaking to The Gorilla Position, John Cena was asked for his thoughts on the rise of Becky Lynch.
"I love any instance where people feel comfortable enough with themselves to be expressive," said Cena. "For so long I didn't know what, or who, Becky Lynch was. And now I do. And that fires me up. I love that stuff."
Cena knows all about finding yourself as a character. He went from the Ruthless Aggression guy to nearly being out of a job before he rapped in front of Stephanie McMahon. And the rest, as they say, is history.
