The finish saw Cody hesitate on hitting Cena with the title, and Cena responded by kicking Cody in the dick. Cena then hit Cody with the title and pinned Cody to once again win the world championship.

Cena hit multiple AAs during the match, including one from the second rope, but Cody managed to kick out every time.

The bout also saw a run-in from Travis Scott, who was hit with a Cross Rhodes by Cody.

This marks the 17th time Cena has won the WWE Championship. It is his first world championship since 2017. Rhodes held the title for 379 days and made eight successful title defenses.
