Johnny Gargano says Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias would do well if he potentially came to WWE, and he could be "Fluffy Wrestling".
Iglesias, a well-known comedian and actor, has crossed paths with WWE before. Earlier this year, He appeared at the WrestleMania 39 Launch Party at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and he did some commentary for the matches at the event.
Speaking on the October 12 edition of WWE's The Bump, Iglesias was asked what his wrestling name would be. He noted that he'd have to stick with "Fluffy" because he has already established it.
“The only problem is, because I’ve established the fact that my nickname is ‘Fluffy’ and I’ve been doing what I do for so long, I think it would be a hard sell to try to change it and make it something different. So I would still have to stick to the same name.
When Angel Garza, another guest on the show, suggested "he Fluffini", he responded, “Did you say Fluffini? ‘El Fluffini.’ [Laughs] Maybe…."
Gargano was the guest host of the show, and he was asked to share his thoughts as to how Iglesias might do in the WWE. The former NXT Champion expressed that he thinks Iglesias would do well, and he offered to let him borrow from the "Johnny Wrestling" nickname and be "Fluffy Wrestling." Iglesias seemingly liked the idea.
Gargano: “I think he’d fare very well. Obviously my nickname is Johnny Wrestling. So if ‘Fluffy Wrestling’ wants to be your nickname, I’m more than happy to share the Wrestling name with you, Fluffy. You could be ‘Fluffy Wrestling’. It’s very fun to chant, by the way. People love chanting ‘Johnny Wrestling.’ ‘Fluffy Wrestling.’ You can clap to it. I’m just saying.
Iglesias: "I like the idea of ‘Fluffy Wrestling.’ I really like the idea of ‘Fluffy Wrestling.’ I’ve had people just chant ‘Fluffy’, but ‘Fluffy Wrestling’ for the event, definitely."
