Johnny is coming home.
Mr. All Heart Johnny Gargano is returning to his roots to start off 2019. The former NXT Tag Team Champion announced on Twitter that on January 18th and 19th he will be present at EVOLVE 119 and 120. Johnny Wrestling was a part of the first EVOLVE show in 2010 where he defeated Chris Dickinson in one-on-one action.
Gargano is a former EVOLVE Tag Team Champion and held the titles with current WWE RAW star Drew McIntyre in 2016. Gargano was even dubbed the heart of EVOLVE much like how he was once known as the heart of NXT. During Johnny's farewell run in EVOLVE, he was defeated by Zack Sabre Jr. in singles action and the following day at EVOLVE 69, Johnny teamed with Cody and they defeated Kassius Ohno and Drew McIntyre to send Johnny off to the WWE.
Next month, one week before NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, Gargano will be present at his former home-base for January's EVOLVE events.
