Johnny Impact talks 'Bound For Glory'.
Tomorrow night at IMPACT Wrestling's 'Bound For Glory' PPV, with seven matches set for the company's biggest show of the year, the main event will feature Austin Aries defending the IMPACT World Championship against Johnny Impact. Up until a few days ago the match between the two men was set to be one that was all about the competitive nature of wrestling until Austin Aries sent out a controversial tweet that included remarks about Johnny's wife Taya Valkyrie who will also be challenging for championship gold at 'Bound For Glory'.
Austin Aries recently joined Wrestling Observer Live and explained his the tweet that got him so much baggage on social media and Morrison has commented on the situation over various platforms as well. He did so again when he was interviewed by Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald ahead of 'Bound For Glory' and commented on the situation at hand involving his opponent on Sunday.
“I feel like Austin Aries crossed the line a little bit with some of the stuff he was saying on social media about Taya mostly. I got thick skin. I don’t mind what he says about me. Certainly, a ton of stuff he could say about me… but I think he ended up making himself look stupid regardless of what I think or what people think or what he said and it definitely pissed me off." Impact said. "Its made me feel like this match now is about the championship but it’s also about me beating the crap out of Austin Aries.” He continued, “I’m hurt that he doesn’t thin that he didn’t do anything wrong. He hasn’t apologized for anything, and you know what? That’s just great because that’s gonna make me feel so much more dedicated to beat the crap out of him because if he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with what he said then he’s got a problem."
