This isn’t the first time that Moxley was advertised for Bloodsport. Earlier this year, Moxley was supposed to face Barnett at the Bloodsport event originally taking place during WrestleMania week, but that, like every wrestling show set for that week, was affected by the pandemic and so, was canceled. Even before that, Moxley was supposed to face Barnett at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport II on September 14, 2019, but the bout was canceled after Moxley suffered a MRSA infection in his elbow.
Moxley joins a long list of wrestlers that were previously announced for the October 11 show. That list includes Lindsay Snow, Chris Dickinson, Killer Kelly, Erik Hammer, Calvin Tankman, Deonna Purrazzo, Homicide and more.
Moxley is also scheduled to defend his AEW World Championship against Lance Archer on AEW Dynamite’s Anniversary show on October 14.
