Jordynne Grace speaks on the lack of surprises at TNA Slammiversary 2024 and how travel issues played a role in some things changing on the pay-per-view, including Jonathan Gresham’s absence.
In the build-up to TNA Slammiversary 2024, Jordynne Grace spoke with Sports Illustrated and teased major surprises for the event.
She stated, “The surprises are going to be even bigger than people realize. TNA and NXT do surprises better than any other promotion. I don’t think anyone can argue that. If you’re tired of accidentally reading spoilers, watch Slammiversary. Our goal is to make fans fall back in love with wrestling.”
When an X post pointed out the event's lack of surprises, Grace pointed to the travel issues caused by a recent technical outage, which has delayed flights around the globe, packaged deliveries, and more.
Never said this, but do apologize for the lack of surprise - could have never predicted a global tech outage cancelling thousands of flights. Several wrestlers, including my husband, could not make it.

Furthermore, the TNA Knockouts World Champion praised management for working hard to ensure that many of the roster members made it to the event and noted that at least a dozen wrestlers spent over 12 hours driving overnight to the event.
She would refer to the entire situation as a "nightmare."
Management worked so hard to make sure as many people made it as possible! So much time and expense. A dozen wrestlers drove 12+ hours overnight.
